System Design Engineer – Fluid

Responsibilities:
– Lead design processes for fluid systems from requirement development through to commissioning.
– Conduct technical trade studies and make decisions that refine system designs.
– Collaborate with suppliers to develop first-of-a-kind hardware solutions for unique challenges.
– Ensure detailed component designs integrate seamlessly into larger system frameworks while anticipating potential integration issues early in the process.

Key Qualifications & Skills Required:
– Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or related fields; 5+ years relevant experience is essential
* Proven skills dealing directly with mechanical systems
* In-depth knowledge of piping dynamics including reading/creating P&IDs
* Previous involvement maintaining existing facilities within a nuclear context desirable but not necessary

Strong understanding required around key industry standards such as ASME BPVC/API/NQA etc., alongside familiarity surrounding safety classification protocols pertinent across structures/systems/components.

This position necessitates an individual who’s both self-motivated and adept at managing multiple conflicting objectives without extensive oversight. Top-notch verbal/written communication abilities are crucial – this encompasses preparing coherent documentation relating back towards specs/narratives among other texts needing clear conveyance of complex ideas/topics.
