System Design Engineer – Gas

Join a leading edge nuclear company as a System Design Engineer on contract. In this pivotal role, you will report to the System Design Manager focusing on advanced nuclear reactor projects. You’ll be responsible for system design analysis, systems engineering oversight while integrating with interfacing teams of engineers.

Tasks:
– Develop fluid system requirements through final design and commissioning.
– Conduct technical trade studies to refine designs.
– Oversee suppliers during development/fabrication of gas processing equipment.
– Review component designs within larger systems context ensuring compatibility across all interfaces
Prepare comprehensive documentation including specifications and operations narratives; anticipate integration issues at both plant/system levels before realization occurs.

Key Qualifications & Skills Required:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering Nuclear Engineering from an accredited university combined with minimum five years’ direct experience demonstrating solid mechanical skills related directly this field
* Proficiency reading drawing P&IDs understanding piping mechanics specifics working under quality standards like ASME NQA1 ISO9000 equivalent familiarity safety classifications structures components proposed testing programs supervising execution evaluations thereof desired strong communication abilities essential successful teamwork fostering among diverse groups individuals
